I think if I buy a brand new kit i will go Wilwood instead of Brembo. Anyway here is a modded 12C with a really nice exhaust setup from Vividracing who did the Brembo GT kit to their show FoST. The best supercar for my money would be a McLaren. My wife has told me many times when she catches me oogling a ferrari or Porsche at C & C that the only exotic she will let me have will be a McLaren.

You don’t think that upgraded brakes are going to solve your dust problem, do you? I’ve never seen good track or “streetable” track pads that don’t shed dust like there’s no tomorrow.

No, past the different pads that I will do this year at some point, I think a set of performance oriented brakes would 1. look outstanding & 2. eek out a little more naughty back road fun.

Do you brake so much on backroads that you get brake fade? Does the electronic stability stuff use the front brakes too often which creates the fade?

I don’t think that a BBK is necessary on a street car that doesn’t see a ton of track action, but idk anything about FoST brakes.

On my M3 which is mostly a DD/ backroad bomber I think I'm going Centric High Carbon rotors with hawk hps pads and SS braided lines. If I get serious about track driving and autoX then I'll upgrade to a BBK.

If you can lock up the brakes right now, there’s no need for a new set of calipers. The only thing Brembos or Wilwoods will do for you is delay the inevitable brake fade. And I’m guessing that with Ford’s trick system of braking the inside wheels, fade will always be an issue with the STs

Unless you’re really highly tuned in other areas like engine and suspension, I wouldn’t really worry about a BBK. Especially if you’re mostly prepping the car for back road shenanigans.

Good pads, stainless lines, high-temp fluid, and maybe slotted rotors will give you a big improvement, especially with sticky tires. That’s the route I took on my NB Miata and Mazdaspeed 6. I was very happy with the brakes on both cars.

My 135is has 6-piston Brembos stock and is a lease so I’m not messing with that shit.
